Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Guwahati
On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station, you will be welcomed by our representative. Proceed to check in at the hotel.
Guwahati is the gateway to Northeast India and one of the fastest-growing cities in the region. Nestled on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River and surrounded by rolling hills and greenery, Guwahati offers a blend of religious, cultural, and natural attractions.
Depending on time and interest, you can explore popular tourist sites such as:
- Kamakhya Temple
- Nabagraha Temple
- Basistha Ashram
- Sankardev Kalakshetra– Cultural hub of Assam
- Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden(Closed on Fridays)
- Assam State Museum(Closed on Mondays)
- War Memorial, Digholi Pukhuri Park(Boating available in the evening)
Evening: Enjoy a scenic sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River (subject to weather conditions).

Day 2: Guwahati – Shillong
After breakfast, drive to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, also known as the “Scotland of the East” due to its climate and picturesque landscapes. En route, stop at the beautiful Umiam Lake (Barapani) — an artificial reservoir surrounded by pine forests and hills.
After check-in and refreshment at your Shillong hotel, spend the evening exploring nearby local markets.
Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 3: Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong
After breakfast, proceed to Cherrapunjee (Sohra), around 60 km from Shillong. Famous for being one of the wettest places on Earth, Cherrapunjee offers a stunning display of natural beauty.
Places to visit:
- Seven Sisters Waterfalls
- Nohkalikai Falls
- Mawsmai Caves
- Thangkharang Park
- Living Root Bridge
- Scenic limestone caves and more
On your return journey, stop at Shillong Peak (for panoramic views of the city) and Elephant Falls.
Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 4: Shillong – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong
Early morning drive to Mawlynnong, known as the “Cleanest Village in Asia” (awarded in 2003), located in the East Khasi Hills. Explore the charming village, walk across the Living Root Bridge, and enjoy the local culture and natural beauty.
En route, visit Dawki — a serene town on the Indo-Bangladesh border, famous for the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River. Boating here is a must.
Return to Shillong by evening.
Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 5: Shillong – Guwahati
After breakfast, enjoy a brief Shillong city tour covering:
- Lady Hydari Park
- Other local attractions as per time and interest
Later, drive back to Guwahati. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. In the evening, visit Sankardev Kalakshetra, a cultural institution that showcases the art, heritage, and lifestyle of Assam and Northeast India. The museum houses traditional attire, jewelry, and cultural exhibits.
Optional: Enjoy shopping at local markets like Fancy Bazar, Paltan Bazar, and Ganeshguri.
Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station. En route, you may visit the Kamakhya Temple (if not covered earlier).
