Guwahati – Kaziranga – Guwahati Tour Itinerary

Duration: 4 Days / 3 Nights

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati

On arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be warmly received by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Guwahati is the gateway to Northeast India and one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. Nestled on the southern bank of the mighty Brahmaputra River and surrounded by rolling hills, Guwahati offers a beautiful blend of nature, culture, and spirituality.

Depending on your arrival time, you can explore some of the city’s iconic attractions such as:

• Kamakhya Temple – A major Shakti Peetha and revered pilgrimage site.
• Navagraha Temple
• Basistha Ashram
• Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra – The cultural hub of Assam.
• Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden (Closed on Fridays)
• Assam State Museum (Closed on Mondays)
• War Memorial and Digholi Pukhuri Park, where you can enjoy boating in the evening.

In the evening, enjoy a cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra River (subject to weather conditions).

Day 2: Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park

After an early breakfast, begin your journey towards the world-famous Kaziranga National Park (approx. 230 km / 5 hours). En route, visit the Kamakhya Temple atop Nilachal Hill. After darshan, soak in the panoramic view of Guwahati city.

Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the one-horned rhinoceros, as well as a wide variety of other wildlife such as wild buffaloes, swamp deer, hog deer, and many species of birds.

On arrival, check into your hotel/resort. After some rest, visit the nearby lush green tea gardens and explore a century-old tea bungalow to learn about traditional tea processing. You can also enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Assam tea.

On request, a tribal dance performance (Jhumur) can be arranged for an immersive cultural experience.

Day 3: Explore Kaziranga

Start your day early with an elephant safari into the park to observe wildlife in its natural habitat.

Return to the resort for breakfast. Later, you may visit nearby tea gardens again or go for a boating experience on Sohola Beel, where animals and birds often gather to quench their thirst – a serene and memorable sight for nature lovers.

After lunch, head out for an afternoon jeep safari in Kaziranga’s core zones to witness wildlife from close proximity.

Day 4: Kaziranga – Guwahati – Departure

After an early breakfast, check out from the resort and drive back to Guwahati. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
