After an early breakfast, begin your journey towards the world-famous Kaziranga National Park (approx. 230 km / 5 hours). En route, visit the Kamakhya Temple atop Nilachal Hill. After darshan, soak in the panoramic view of Guwahati city.
Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the one-horned rhinoceros, as well as a wide variety of other wildlife such as wild buffaloes, swamp deer, hog deer, and many species of birds.
On arrival, check into your hotel/resort. After some rest, visit the nearby lush green tea gardens and explore a century-old tea bungalow to learn about traditional tea processing. You can also enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Assam tea.
On request, a tribal dance performance (Jhumur) can be arranged for an immersive cultural experience.
